Applications are due by Friday, May 22 and can be turned in to Becky Torres (Streeter 101) or the front desk in the Math Lab (Streeter 137).

What is a Math Department Intern?
A Math Department Intern is a student who will assist the Math Department in a variety of tasks that will be arranged by the department chair, the department, and the student, based on department need and student interest.

How many Math Department Internship positions are available?
There are openings for two Math Department Internships for the 2009/2010 academic year.  One position will focus primarily on the skills contest and the other position will focus primarily on technology and maintaining the department webpage.

Do I get free tuition all year?
Yes! The tuition waiver covers tuition only for up to 18 credits for each of the three terms (fall, winter, and spring) of the 2008/2009 academic year.  The tuition waiver does not cover any type of fees or charges for classes (other than tuition). Even after receiving the math department internship tuition waiver, a student may still be eligible for other financial aid (check with the Financial Aid Office).
