Here is some information about the day’s events and registering for the events.

Please note that we have a relatively event this year – "What is a CCC Math Class?" (see below).

Registration:  Individual Tests and Team Tests:  On-line registration with ESD (through the high school skills coordinator).

Individual Competition:

The Individual Competitions will be in a multiple-choice format.  Grading will be on the basis of the total number of correct answers with no penalty for "guessing."

There will be an open-ended tie-breaker question on each individual test.

The times and levels (which correspond to the state competition) consist of

9:00 - 9:35

Level I:  Pre-algebra

9:00 - 9:35

Level II:  One year of algebra

Students should be entered at the level of the mathematics class they are currently taking.

Students in an integrated curriculum can enter any level n + 1 or higher, where n represents the number of years of high school mathematics they have taken.

Use the last column above for integrated classes.

It is imperative that students register for the correct level of competition.

Individual registrations should be limited to 120 students per school.

State Competition:

Students placing in the top 12% of Level III through Level VI of the Individual Competitions will be invited to participate in the Oregon Invitational Mathematics Tournament at Oregon State University on May 17, 2014.

The times for the Team Competition (for groups of three students) are:
